Work Permit

Students registered for  full time  degree or diploma programme  are allowed to work  in the campus of the  institution where they are registered , and  they don’t  even need employment authorization. The job profile may include teaching or research.

 

 

 
Visa

The documents required depends on the country of origin, the programme and the years of study. The first step to get a Student Visa is to fill a Student Authorization form .Student Authorization forms can be obtained from Canadian Embassy or High Commission or Canadian Education Centre in your own country. Application form can be submitted along with the necessary copies documents to the nearest Visa office.

 

Important documents to be submitted include

 

1) Identity Proof (Passport, Voters ID Card etc)

2) A medical examination certificate

 

3) Proof of acceptance from a Canadian Institute: The letter of acceptance should contain name, date of birth, mailing address of student; the course for which the student has been accepted, duration of the course, the date of commencement of the course, the tuition fee and the academic year for which the student is accepted for admission.

 

4) Proof of financial health of the guardian: The guardian need to show a bank balance of a total estimated expense for the course and living expenses.

 

The visa officer will review the student authorization application , he must be satisfied that you meet the criteria of the Canadian Immigration Act and Regulations and you are going to Canada for the studying only and will be back after completion of the course

 

 
Scholarships

Limited number of scholarships are available in Canada and they only cover tuition fee, other University expenses are borne by the student only. And scholarships for international students are even low and are available for students with excellent academic record. The amount of scholarship differs institute to institute and only covers the part of a student's education and living expenses. . Getting a scholarship in a Canadian University is not everone's cup of tea.

MBA

Canada offers high quality education and a wonderful environment and is one of the popular destinations for international students, and the Canadian MBA degree is world over renowned  Moreover the cost of education is low as compared to other countries , both in terms of tuition fees and cost of living.

 

Basic requirements for admission in Canadian MBA programme.

 

16 years of formal education in 10+2+4 pattern , students with 15 years of education with a 3 years bachelors degree need to go for a one year Post Graduate Diploma or a Masters degree.

 

A total of two years of work experience is also required.

 

A minimum of 500 - 550 GMAT score is also required.

 

4. Letters of Recommendation

Letters of recommendation plays an important role in admission in Canadian Universities specially in master’s and doctoral degree. A recommendation letter is a signed statement from a person who knows you well professionally or has taught you in a subject that is related to the course you are applying for.

 

The person signing the letter should mention for how long he has been knowing you and the reason for studying abroad.

 

Some of the universities aprovide their own format of questions which has to be answered by the person who is signing the letter of recommendation.
